For those of you who gave up the cigarettes in 2009, here’s a list of some stuff that will help get your body functioning right again and help prevent cancer (allegedly). I got this info from this book my dad gave me on healing and nutrition.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV. This is all stuff I’m remembering without the book in front of me so don’t take it verbatim. Any drug reference contained herein is purely fictional.
Herbal supplements:
- Grape Seed extract – supposedly can inhibit cancer growth
- Oxy-5000 by American Biologique – a kickass combo of antioxidants, you can order online
- B complex, esp B-12
- Flax Seed Oil
- Vitamin E
- Milk Thistle
- Garlic
- Vitamin C – Smokers break down Vitamin C 2X as fast as nonsmokers; you really need Vitamin C.
Things to eat and not eat/ drink and not drink:
This list is generally a good idea for everyone really. Get off your ass and cook, people. It’s fun.
- Do drink: carrot juice, green tea, lots of water, prune juice, pomegranate juice and other dark fruit juices, live juices
- Don’t drink: coffee (I did anyway but after a few days I lost my taste for it) or too much black/orange pekoe tea
- Eat: lots of vegetables raw and steamed – especially the yellow and orange ones like squash and carrots, peanuts, grapes, cherries, soy nuts, green vegetables esp. sprouts, lean meats esp fish and chicken
- Don’t eat: processed meats like lunch meat EVER, lots of beef, processed, pre-packaged crap, things high in sugar, junk food, go light on the dairy.
Other stuff:
- Get lots of exercise – helps work out the toxins
- Smoke pot. Lots of pot.
The book also suggests daily coffee enemas and a liquid fast but I personally think that’s going a little too far.
To get through withdrawals, I recommend copious amounts of Wellbutrin as well as any anti-anxiety pills you can get your hands on, at least for the first three or four days.
